ABOUT

MISSION AND HISTORY

Tracmach was established in 1981 by Bob Lukins.  The mission of Tracmach is to preserve the agricultural and industrial heritage of Western Australia. Tracmach has grown and now has branches throughout Western Australia, consisting of over 500 members, young and old.  Lights on the Hill is organised and run by the South West contingent of the organisation, the first event was held in 2013.  The event was named Lights on the Hill as the event runs late in to the night, the lights and the exhaust glow from some of the machines can be seen from the town of Brunswick.  The purpose of Lights on the Hill is to show the community how vintage machinery was operated and demonstrate how these vehicles were used, and sometimes the hardships that went with using them.  Our exhibitors put in many hours to restore and rebuild these machines, whether it be a thumping crude oil tractor or a hand powered corn mill, there is something for everyone at the show.
